Year 2 - Beach Trip

Year 2 went to Walton-On-The-Naze and had a brilliant time on the beach. The children were able to explore and collect pebbles, sea weed and shells. They built some spectacular sandcastles too!

This trip is an important part of Year 2's curriculum, as it broadens their knowledge and understanding of the world around them as well as igniting their enthusiasm for their new topic, Beachcombers.

During this topic, children will be learning about living things and their habitats, using their experience at the beach to create some art work and their imagination to create a diary entry based on a mysterious message they found in a bottle, washed up on the shore!

Andrew Williams - Fabulous day despite the windy chilly weather. The teachers, LSAs and additional adults made it fun learning & an experience to remember. Very valuable time. Thank you Lawford Mead xx
